TECHNO RL - Bond Breakers, Rolls & Gaskets

A high-performance, self-adhesive sealing strip designed for use in waterproofing applications. This flexible bond breaker bandage is engineered to provide secure, watertight sealing at movement joints, internal corners, and other high-risk waterproofing areas.

Sizes Available:

• 80mm wide × 15m roll (standard joint and corner strip)

• RL300 wide format x 10m roll – for use as a gasket or continuous strip over hobs and nibs

• RL300 Gasket, 300mm x 300mm - for use as a gasket

The RL300 roll offers a wider format, ideal for wrapping larger transitions in one piece, eliminating seams and potential weak points. Commonly used for forming a continuous gasket seal around floor wastes or for wrapping over prefabricated hobs and nib walls.

Applications

Use in conjunction with RASOGUM+, RASOLASTIK EVO, RASOLASTIK ADV, and other BRANZ-appraised membranes.

1. Corners & Transitions

• Wall-to-wall and floor-to-wall internal corners

• Showers, bathrooms, laundries, and wet rooms

2. Penetrations & Fixtures

• Floor drains, gullies, shower outlets, pipe sleeves

• Light fittings and recessed service points

3. Movement Joints

• Between slabs or changes in substrate material

• Where structural or thermal movement is expected

4. Wide Format Use (RL300)

• Gasket detailing around large waste flanges

• Seamless coverage over hobs, nib walls, or preformed shower bases

• Ideal for complex areas requiring a single-piece waterproofing detail

Installation Notes

• Surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or loose material

• Apply Sabre S20 Contact Spray Adhesive to substrate and allow tack-off before installing the strip

• Press firmly into place, ensuring full contact and no trapped air

• Overlap bandage ends by at least 50mm if joining

• Once installed, apply waterproofing membrane over the top in accordance with system specs

Storage

Store in a dry area, protected from UV light and excessive heat.
