Overview

The TW Cement Board Knife is made for scoring and snapping fibre cement board cleanly and accurately. It is a simple, tough hand tool that tilers and builders use when cutting cement sheet without dragging out power tools. The double tipped tungsten carbide edge gives you a consistent score line, making controlled breaks easier and reducing chipped edges.

  • Double tipped tungsten carbide blade for long working life
  • Designed specifically for fibre cement and cement board
  • Produces a clean score line for controlled snapping
  • Simple hand tool with no power required
  • Suitable for site work and bench cutting

This knife is used when cutting fibre cement board for wall linings, wet area backing, and tile underlay. It suits bathrooms, laundries, kitchens, and other internal areas where cement sheet is commonly installed under tiles or waterproofing systems.

Mark the cut line on the board first. Run the knife firmly along a straight edge to score the surface. Repeat the score if needed, then snap the board along the line. For best results, keep pressure even and let the carbide tip do the work rather than forcing the cut.

  • Fibre cement board
  • Cement sheet and tile backing boards
  • Similar cement based panel products

Compact hand tool with a metal body and double tipped carbide scoring edge, designed to sit comfortably in the hand during repeated use.

Pro Tip

Score the board two or three times instead of pushing harder on the first pass. Multiple clean scores give a straighter snap and help avoid rough edges, especially on thicker sheets.
