Description

ADESIV PRIMER WB PU — 10 kg

Solvent-free, monocomponent 100% polyurethane consolidating primer for absorbent subfloors. Fast-drying, odourless, and rated EC1 PLUS (very low emissions). Acts as a moisture-repellent barrier on substrates with residual humidity up to 4–5% and is suitable over underfloor heating/cooling systems.

Where to use

  • Absorbent flooring and traditional concrete screeds
  • Anhydrite (calcium sulphate) screeds
  • Heated or cooled subfloors (UFH)
  • As a consolidating base prior to levelling and bonding

Why it works

  • Consolidates friable surfaces for a stronger, more uniform base
  • Cuts suction so levellers and adhesives behave predictably
  • Low odour, solvent-free for occupied sites and indoor work

Key specs (from TDS)

  • Yield: 100–150 g/m² (1 coat); 200–250 g/m² (two coats)
  • Drying: 45–55 minutes per coat (at ~15–25 °C, 50–70% RH)
  • Recoat window: ~2 hours
  • Application: Roller or brush; minimum substrate temp +15 °C
  • Pack size: 10 kg
  • Appearance: Brown liquid
  • Emissions: EC1 PLUS; compliant with French VOC classes

Application notes (straight talk)

  1. Mechanically prepare the subfloor; it must be compact, clean, and dry to spec.
  2. Check moisture — this primer is a barrier only up to 4–5% residual humidity; it’s not a cure for a wet slab or missing vapour barrier.
  3. Apply the first coat uniformly. On very absorbent areas, apply a second coat within 12 hours.
  4. If you’ll be levelling, broadcast 0.1–0.3 mm quartz sand into the last coat while fresh; after ~2 h, vacuum excess and bond within 24 h.
  5. Clean tools with GR7 before the product sets.

Compatible with ADESIV two-component PU (e.g., PELPREN PL6) and silane adhesives (WB MONO MS/LE, WB MONO MS) when used as directed.
