CASA-Boards – High-Performance Waterproof Backing Boards

Crafted from extruded polystyrene (XPS) and reinforced with fibreglass mesh embedded in a polymer mortar coating on both faces, CASA-Boards offer outstanding strength, rigidity, and long-term waterproof protection. Designed for performance and versatility, they are the ideal solution for tiling in wet areas such as bathroom walls, showers, and wet rooms—whether in new builds or refurbishment projects.

Lightweight and easy to cut with a utility knife, CASA-Boards are simple to handle and install. Their excellent insulation properties help minimise heat loss through the sub-floor, allowing underfloor heating systems to reach optimal temperature faster while reducing energy costs.

CASA-Boards can be adhered directly to sub-floors or wall surfaces using Technokolla tile adhesives—no mechanical fixings are required for timber or plasterboard surfaces. For timber stud framing, 10 mm CASA-Boards must be mechanically fixed using stainless steel screws and washers, which are available for purchase. Thicker boards are ideal for constructing custom platforms, shelving, and recessed niches.
