Overview

FILA HYDROREP ECO is an eco-compatible water-repellent treatment for a wide range of porous exterior surfaces. It penetrates deep into the material rather than sitting on top, pushing water out while keeping the surface breathable. Over time, it works against the conditions that allow algae, mould, and lichen to take hold, and slows the kind of surface deterioration that weathering causes on exposed materials.

ECO-COMPATIBLE WATER-REPELLENT PROTECTION

Outdoor surfaces take a beating. Rain, humidity, biological growth, and temperature shifts all chip away at unprotected materials over time. FILA HYDROREP ECO goes into the surface rather than coating it, so water is turned away without sealing in moisture that is already there.

The natural finish means treated surfaces look no different after application. What changes is how the material responds to water and the conditions that carry it, giving exposed stone, brick, concrete, plaster, and terracotta a longer, cleaner life outdoors.

Repels water while maintaining a natural, unaltered surface appearance

Penetrates deeply into the material and allows ongoing breathability

Slows the development of algae, mould, and lichen on treated surfaces

Guards against surface deterioration from ongoing weathering exposure

Unpolished stone and agglomerates

Concrete

Terracotta

Exposed bricks

Quarry tiles

Plaster

Tuff

1. How is FILA HYDROREP ECO different from a standard sealer?

Most sealers coat the surface and block everything, including moisture trying to escape from within the material. FILA HYDROREP ECO penetrates the substrate and repels water from outside while still allowing the surface to breathe, which matters on older or porous materials where trapped moisture causes its own problems.

2. Will it change the look of my surface?

No visible change to colour or finish is the intention. The product leaves a natural appearance once dry, so treated and untreated areas should look the same.

3. Does it stop mould and algae from growing?

It makes conditions harder for biological growth to establish by reducing the moisture that algae, mould, and lichen rely on. It is not a biocide, but consistent water repellency goes a long way toward keeping surfaces cleaner over time.

4. What surfaces can it be used on?

It covers a broad range of unpolished, porous exterior materials, including stone, concrete, terracotta, exposed brick, quarry tiles, plaster, and tuff.

5. How long does protection last?

Longevity depends on the surface type, exposure level, and local climate. Highly weathered or frequently wet areas may need reapplication sooner. Checking the surface periodically by watching how water behaves on it is a practical way to judge when a top-up is due.
