TECHNO MESH FIBRE - per Linear Meter

  • Built with high mechanical strength, giving added stability to screeds, renders, and membranes.
  • Maintains excellent dimensional stability, so the mesh will not shrink or distort once embedded.
  • Alkali-resistant coating protects fibres against breakdown when exposed to cement and construction materials.
  • No emollients in the treatment, which keeps the mesh performing long-term without softening in storage.
  • Stops yarn drifting, ensuring a consistent fabric structure for uniform coverage.
  • Works with all major façade, render, and waterproofing systems.

R131 A101 Mesh is suited to both interior and exterior reinforcement. Common applications include embedding into waterproofing systems under tiles, strengthening cement screeds, and stabilising external renders on façades. It is also widely used in external thermal insulation systems where consistent coverage and strength are essential. Renovation jobs benefit from it too, as it helps prevent cracks when old substrates are being refinished or levelled.

  • Mesh opening (warp/weft): 3.5 x 3.8 mm
  • Standard roll width: 100 cm
  • Roll length: 50 m
  • Treated fabric thickness: 0.52 mm
  • Loom state fabric weight: 131 g/m²
  • Treated fabric weight: minimum 160 g/m²
  • Tensile strength: 2200 / 1900 N (warp & weft, nominal)
  • Elongation: 3.8%
  • Tested to DIN EN ISO 13934-1
  • Standard compliance: R131, works standard 0326

A grey-white woven fibreglass mesh, supplied in 1-metre wide rolls of 50 metres. The fabric has a consistent, stable weave, making it easy to overlap and embed evenly in screeds or waterproofing layers.

Always embed the mesh while the adhesive, render, or waterproofing layer is still wet. This ensures full contact with the fabric and prevents hollow spots that can weaken the system later.

1. What is R131 A101 Mesh used for?
It reinforces screeds, renders, and waterproofing membranes, giving them strength and stability.

2. Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. It is designed for use in external façades and thermal insulation systems, as well as interior applications.

3. Why is alkali resistance important?
Cement-based materials are highly alkaline. Without resistance, fibreglass mesh can break down over time.

4. How wide and long are the rolls?
Standard rolls are 1 metre wide and 50 metres long, with custom sizes available on request.

5. How strong is this mesh?
It has a tensile strength of around 2200 N in warp and 1900 N in weft, giving reliable performance in demanding jobs.

6. Can it be stored on site for long periods?
Yes, provided it is kept dry and stored between -10°C and +50°C.

7. Is it compliant with standards?
Yes. It meets European Standard R131 and internal works standard 0326 for fibreglass mesh fabrics.

8. Can it be cut for smaller areas?
Yes, the mesh can be cut to size easily on site without affecting its performance.
