Overview

Rasolastik ADV is a two-part cement-based waterproofing membrane designed for floors and walls in both interior and exterior areas. Once mixed, it forms a flexible coating that handles movement and ongoing moisture exposure. Commonly used across bathrooms, balconies, and tiled wet areas where a stable waterproof layer is needed before tiling.

  • Two-component system with powder and liquid mix
  • Flexible membrane suited for movement-prone substrates
  • Works across interior and exterior applications
  • Suitable for bathrooms, balconies, terraces, and pools
  • Can be applied by brush, roller, or spray
  • Forms a tile-ready surface once cured

Used in areas exposed to regular moisture or weather. This includes bathrooms, showers, balconies, terraces, and pool surrounds. Also used when upgrading older surfaces where waterproofing needs to be added without full removal.

Make sure the surface is clean, solid, and free from dust or loose material. Prime if required based on the substrate. Mix Component A and Component B to the recommended ratio until consistent. Apply the first coat evenly, allow it to settle, then apply a second coat to build a continuous membrane. Let it cure fully before tiling.

  • Concrete
  • Cement screeds
  • Cement plaster
  • Cement-lime mortar
  • Existing ceramic tiles
  • Plasterboard (with primer)

  • Component A: Grey powder
  • Component B: White liquid
  • Mixed product: Smooth, spreadable membrane

Pro Tip

At joints, corners, and floor to wall transitions, use reinforcing tape along with the membrane. These are the areas where movement shows up first, so a bit of extra build here helps avoid failures later.

1. Where can Rasolastik ADV be used?

It is used on floors and walls in areas exposed to water, like bathrooms, balconies, terraces, and pool surrounds.

2. Is this suitable for exterior waterproofing?

Yes. It is designed for both interior and exterior use, including areas exposed to weather.

3. Do I need to use a primer before applying it?

In most cases, yes. Priming helps with adhesion, especially on porous or smooth substrates.

4. How many coats are required?

Typically two coats are applied to build a continuous waterproof layer before tiling.

5. Can it be applied over existing tiles?

Yes, as long as the surface is stable, clean, and properly prepared with the right primer.

6. Is it flexible once cured?

Yes. The membrane stays flexible, which helps handle movement in the substrate without cracking.
